Building Regulations:

The Building Regulations contain a list of requirements that are designed

to ensure minimum standards for health, safety,

welfare, convenience, energy efficiency, sustainability and to prevent misuse, abuse

or contamination of water supplies.

These regulations set national standards for building work, whether it be on

a major new development

or an extension or alterations to your home according to the

Local Authority Regulations.

What is Party Wall?

The Party Wall Act came into force in 1997 throughout England and Wales.

work on an existing wall or

structure shared with another property, constructing a free standing wall or wall of a building

up to or abutting the boundary with a neighbouring building, or excavating near to a neighbouring

property, it is very likely that you will require a

Party Wall Agreement.
